Bookkeeping and Accounting Virtual Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Accounting Virtual Assistant (Bookkeeping VA) to support our client in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports.
  • Support tax preparation and compliance tasks.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Help implement and improve bookkeeping systems and processes.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and team members regarding financial matters.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices – USA based
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, CPA) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with US tax regulations and compliance
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed.
